Brief overview of racing career to date....
I started road racing mid way through 2007 after my first trackday aboard my commuter bike, a road going Honda Hornet 600. It was clear from the first session on track that I was pretty good and was moved to the fast group by lunch time.
This was the start of what has been the most challenging yet rewarding sport I have competed in. Previously playing Hockey and Golf to national level, bikes certainly provided the all important ‘buzz’ that had been missing!
2007
I won my second ever race and went on to take pole positions and race wins in the 4 meetings that I competed in. Unfortunately at the last event I had a nasty accident leaving me in a pretty bad way and facing a very long recovery. The below are a few pictures of my arm and head - the metalwork remains to this day. I have 34 plates and screws still in my ankle, knee, face and arm.

2008
Not long out of a wheelchair and in immense pain I used racing as the motivation I needed to progress with physio and get some kind of normality back after such serious injuries. Rather than chose the easier route (Rookie 600) I went straight for the highly competitive MRO Junior Stock 600 championship. Despite the injuries I finished the year in 5th place and my strength improved dramatically throughout the season. Huge thank you to ManageEurope.com for supporting me with the Yamaha R6 for the championship.
2009
Rather unfortunately just as I had finally regained some strength I broke my collar bone in a testing accident in pre season testing. We still made 6 rounds through the year including MRO podium finishes.
2010
Finally fit and strong after 6 months of hard training we were ready to show the pace that was apparent way back in 2007. Never giving up during the hellish tough times gave us the opportunity to deliver on that early promise. With the help of friends and supporters I went on to dominate the Thundersport GB Supertstock 600 championship and set multiple lap records, pole positions and 27 podiums through the year. I ended 2010 as the Thundersport GB Superstock 600 Champion and took 3rd place in the Supersport 600 Championship riding my stock bike in both series. Hard work pays off!!
2011
Time to step up to the next level and the National Superstock 1000 championship, competing against the factory teams of the British Superbike paddock. On a 2008 CBR1000RR we were always going to be up against it in our first year. We managed some strong top 20 results and a best qualifying of 15th. Learning all the way through we delivered on the season’s expectation. On the club racing front I qualified on Pole position for every race meeting we attended and won every club race I finished in 2011.
We are now ready for the 2012 Championship and now have everything in place that was missing from 2011.
